I’ve never been a great auditory learner, and somehow, no matter the genre, when I start listening to a podcast, I end up wondering why people dress their dogs up for Halloween. One thought drifts to the next and so on and so on… until I came across Lewis Howes podcast School of Greatness. Something about the guests he speaks with, the genuine desire to learn and explain new concepts just PULLS me in. I love to start one at the beginning of a workout and use it as a tool to pushing myself through that last rep. The best part? There are over 1000s episodes currently available, and new ones releasing each week. Give it a listen - and PLEASE, share your favorites with me!

The Untethered Soul

I remember the first time I picked up Untethered Soul - A close friend was reading it and asked if I’d heard of it. I immediately came back with “ eeeeh, I don’t do well with the self-help thing”. He said “No no, this is so much more than self help”, and handed me his copy. It sat on my shelf for 3 years. Down the road, in some bookshelf cleanout, I picked it up again. I have a deep core belief that we find books when we need them most - and I most definitely needed Untethered Soul. Michael Singer has perfected this approachable guide to releasing yourself from deep ego and achieving a new level of self-awareness. To know me is to know that my favorite quote is “awareness is KEY!” - so reading Michael’s words made me feel like I had found a new best friend in book form. I could go on and on about Untethered Soul, but ultimately, I hope this tiny intro encourages you pick it up yourself - maybe even pass it along to a friend.
